Great Ocean Aikido seeks the source of O’Sensei’s aikido through direct teaching from his 1st and 2nd generation students, the parent art of Daito Ryu and the weapons arts. The great ocean aikido association has well credentialed instructors from several aikido schools to guide its development through collegiate interaction and a commitment to open ongoing learning through visiting instructors from overseas and nationally.

We share a syllabus for Hitori(solo), Kumi(paired) and Buki(weapons) waza together with a grading syllabus and panel gradings to ensure consistency
